SO…WHO IS GIOIELLI DI CAMILLA?
👋🏻 Hi and welcome! I’m Camilla. ….it’s a pleasure to have you here ☀️
I was born and grew up in the city of Florence, Tuscany, Italy.
Here I have been creating jewellery for more than 10 years. Some of you might have visited my small Shop_Lab before the pandemic.
I’ve had the luck to learn the basic techniques of the goldsmith’s art from my father, traditional goldsmith his entire life, therefor creating my own jewels 💎 since the very first steps in my journey into contemporary jewelry world.
time line
- In 2006 I started selling my jewelry on weekends artisans’ markets around Tuscany. At that time I had my studio at home.
- 2010 I opened my own studio and continued selling jewelry in weekend’s markets, bigger fairs once in a while.
- 2016 I opened my own Shop.
I am proud to have had listened and follow my own vocation after my studies and degree in Psychology (2003) .
I never liked to think about my work as a business as commonly we think about it, even though kind of had to be.
I was born artist 👩🎨. Making ART is my mission and my way to have a place in this world, a unique way of expressing myself, share and stay connected to emotions, feelings, thoughts, experiences, life, nature. All of this inspires me each and everyday.
- In 2018 beside jewellery, I fell in love with watercolors too.
I loved them as much as I love water and love to be surprised.
- In 2019 I’ve made my first solo travel ✈️, I bought a motorbike 🏍 + travel and I signed myself up to art high school 🎨, evening classes for adults, which I have dreamed about since I was a child.
YES , but what does this fit with jewelry making? I am an artist and everything going on in my life fit in what I create!
- In 2020, right after being back my second solo travel, the Covid19 pandemic exploded in Italy. 😷
pandemic time
I got to finished the first year of art high school and kept the shop for a year paying the entire rent, but decided move on at some point.
Therefor I moved out of the shop and the country on a motorbike November 2020 and I am currently in Spain.
I can’t say hash’t been tough, but still, I can’t stop dreaming, working and making steps forward for something more ❤️🔥💪🏻🌈🌦

I am practicing drawing, painting on my own and carrying on with art projects.

ABOUT MY WORK

I think this sentences well describe how I feel about making art.
As I said, my inspiration come from life, emotions, feelings, experiences, desires, everything I like, places and people I met in my path. I work, play and make a synthesis which tell a story and represent my way of seeing the world. I wish somehow they speaks to you!

Sono nata e cresciuta Firenze, Toscana, Italia.
Qui ho creato gioielli per più di dieci anni. Forse qualcuno di voi ha visitato il mio piccolo negozio_laboratorio prima della pandemia.
Ho avuto la fortuna di apprendere le tecniche di base dell’ oreficeria da mio padre (👇🏻) cresciuto in una famiglia di orafi e orafo da sempre. Questo mi ha dato la possibilità di dare vita a gioielli unici fin dai primi passi mossi nel mondo della gioielleria 💎 contemporanea.
UN RIEPILOGO
- Nel 2006 ho iniziato a vendere i miei gioielli in mercatini dell’ artigianato che si svolgevano prevalentemente in Toscana. In questo periodo avevo il mio studio a casa, a fianco di mio padre, già ritirato.
- 2010 Ho aperto il mio studio, continuando a vendere nei mercatini, e in alcune fiere più grandi .
- 2016 Ho aperto il mio negozio.
Sono orgogliosa di aver ascoltato e seguito la mia vocazione per l’arte dopo gli studi e la laurea in Psicologia (2003). Non mi è mai piaciuto pensare al mio lavoro come un business, così come lo possiamo comunemente immaginare, anche se un po’ lo deve essere.
Sono nata artista 👩🎨 . Creare è la mia missione e il mio modo di occupare uno spazio in questo mondo, una maniera unica di esprimere me stessa, emozioni, sentimenti, pensieri, esperienze, vita, natura. Tutto questo mi dà ispirazione ogni giorno.
- Nel 2018 mi sono innamorata degli acquerelli e ho iniziato a dipingere.
Li amo tanto quanto amo l’acqua ed essere sorpresa.
- 2019 ho fatto il mio primo lungo viaggio sola ✈️, ho comprato una moto 🏍 e. i sono iscritta al liceo artistico serale 🎨, quello che ho sempre rimpianto di non aver fatto.
SI BENE , ma che c’entra questo con il creare gioielli? Sono artista e tutto quello che accade nella mia vita si rispecchia in quello che creo!
- 2020, subito dopo essere rientrata dal mio secondo viaggio sola, è esplosa la pandemia Covid19 😷.
LA PANDEMIA
Sono riuscita a finire il primo biennio di liceo artistico e ho continuato a pagare l’affitto intero del negozio fino a quando non ho deciso di lasciarlo.
Ho lasciato la mia città e il mi paese con la mia moto in novembre (2020) e al momento sono in Spagna
Non posso non dire che non sia stata dura, ma ancora non posso smettere di sognare, lavorare e fare passi avanti per qualcosa in più ❤️🔥💪🏻🌈🌦

Credo che queste affermazioni descrivono bene quello che sento quando creo .
Come ho già detto è la vita stessa che mi ispira, emozioni, sentimenti, esperienze, desideri, tutto quello che mi piace, luoghi e persone che incontro nel mio cammino. Lavoro, gioco e faccio una sintesi che racconta una storia e rappresenta il mio modo di vedere il mondo. Spero che alcune parlino anche a te!
